Covid-19 visor - from idea to product in less than 1 week

At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, we were contacted by the Central Denmark Region.

They needed to develop and injection mould a visor for healthcare professionals in hospitals. They didn't have 3D files, just an idea.

The enquiry came on Tuesday and we had a brainstorm meeting the following day.
On Friday, we produced the first 3D printed prototypes, which were presented to the customer and approved immediately.
On Saturday, a milling programme is created and the moulding tool is milled.
Sunday we assemble the moulding tool.
On Monday, the first visors are injection moulded, packed and collected.

Injection moulded visors by the million

It's less than 1 week from idea to the customer holding the first injection moulded visor in their hands. And what started with 5,000 visors a day grew to 1.4 million CE approved visors in total.
